Why should you look at reviews over pricing when hiring wedding furniture?

Hiring out furniture for your wedding can be a little stressful and worrisome amongst the several other big things you have to think about when planning for your big day. Questions like “where can I hire wedding furniture from”; “How much does it cost”; “Will I be able to hire furniture for more than 200 people?” or even “Will the chairs be comfortable and sturdy enough?” might run through your head. Here at Red Woodpecker Events, we’re here to help by giving you this little piece of advice in hopes that it’ll make your “wedding furniture worries” a lot easier!

Why should you look at reviews over pricing when hiring for wedding furniture?

Reviews are one of the most important pieces of information when it comes to businesses and especially when it comes to companies hiring an item or items out to the public. However, do keep this little piece of advice in your mind when you’re browsing through whatever it is you are looking for at the time: “The most expensive isn’t necessarily the best option”. So this is why here at Red Woodpecker Events, we’re here to tell you why you should always look at reviews over pricing.

The worst thing you can do is just hiring or buying an item without reading anything about it. Ordering something that doesn’t meet your expectations is a very frustrating and annoying thing to happen to someone.

For instance, if you needed “25 wedding chairs” and they were the most expensive wedding chairs on the website, most people would think to themselves “This is the most expensive product (chair) on their site, so It must be the best!” Usually this tends to be true, but not always!

Hypothetically, just say you needed the order of chairs for next week and the wedding furniture hire you’re currently hiring from had a bunch of bad reviews saying “the company always delivered late” or “a lot of the chairs were defective & unstable”. However, you ignored the reviews and feedback given by ‘real customers’ and instantly jumped the gun and bought 3 sets of chairs without reading the reviews. Then on the day when you need them for, they don’t show up, or if they do, you’re stuck with 75 unusable chairs because most of them were broken or not stable enough to sit on. And ultimately,  you’ve just wasted your time, your money as well as it would have unfortunately put a massive damper and A LOT MORE stress on you and your big wedding day..

Remember, don’t just read the “good reviews”

If you are one of the people who read the reviews before purchasing or hiring out an item(s) never only just read the ‘good reviews’. All products aren’t “perfect” so you need to counter balance it out with a couple ‘negative reviews’ given by people. However, don’t let the negative reviews completely influence your decision! Rather, take what these negative reviews are saying and keep them in the back of your mind so that when you read the positive reviews you can make a decision based on what YOU think is best. Now obviously if there’s more negative than positive, there is a higher chance that the product isn’t the best..

Reading the reviews instead of the price

When shopping online for wedding furniture, caterers, florists or even when hiring a wedding DJ. Here at Red Woodpecker Events, we advise you to always read a few of the positive reviews and a few of the bad reviews before investing in a product for its price. Buying something more expensive doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re getting the best deal of the better quality product. Maybe it looks nicer than the other items, but looks can be deceiving! Don’t make this mistake preparing for your big wedding day and have a browse of what we have in stock [here] and definitely send us an email if you have any questions or inquiries!
